Teamwork and Leadership Development
The one day course, Training and Leadership Development, is designed principally (but by no means exclusively) for trainee, new entrant, first starter and graduate entry employees who find themselves working within, or perhaps even leading, a team for the first time:
The day is broken down into four modules:
- Foundation laying
- Introduce Bellator Consultings Ltd's model of training
- Establish a baseline from which to build
- Explain the IC3MTM model
- Identify and discuss specific challenges faced by delegates
- The Individual within the Team
- Explore Team Dynamics - what makes a team tick?
- Teams vs Groups - explore differences, examine models, discuss process
- Discussion on Impact - who has made it, why and how they made it, what attributes were needed
- The Confident Communicator - examine the impact of positive communication
- Leadership Development
- Introduce and discuss Leadership types including classic, bad and non-standard
- Explore qualities required for successful Leadership
- Explain and discuss difference between Leadership and Management
- Influencing as a Leader - where does influence come from, and how is it maintained?
- Practical Application
- Leaders and the Led - exploring the relationship between the two
- Effective meetings - making the most of time
- Persuading, motivating and inspiring - an exercise using personal experiences
- Re-examine the challenges identified at the start of the day
The follow up process uses technology to remind delegates of some of the key lessons identified during the training day. Email, text message and podcasts will be sent during the four weeks immediately after the course, providing an opportunity for reflection as well as a reminder of the need for application of the lessons learned.
